Social Network Project:
PlayerHub
PlayerHub Network is by far one of my most complicated and badass websites I’ve work on this far. So far, I have rebooted the site and entire network over 10 times and rebuilt each time from the ground up… I know it’s a weird flex. Anyway, Over the past few years I’ve been able come up with a working business model for this project. I want to of course realize profits but more importantly I want to enable another avenue to fund these cool projects. You can visit the network at PlayerHub.net and create a free account!
Building Blocks
The network is starting on a shared hosting account with Bluehost. The domain is using WordPress Multisite as CMS (Content Management System). With shared hosting recourses are limited and on a social multisite network project conserving space is critical for long-term success. We shall see if the network can hold up until I can afford a dedicated server for this project.
Membership Management
Plugins Installed:
Memberships range from free Affiliate tracking to reoccurring subscription charges for websites created in the network.
Active Themes
Plugins Themes:
For the main sites network.
For subsites on the network.
Target Audience
To start this network, I’m thinking small yet not too inclusive… The subscription subsites use Broadcast Pro by Stream Weasels that is perfect for Twitch and YouTube livestreaming content. So, I’m lookout for content creators who could get use of a website to hub their community. I plan on promoting/advertising to a particular game that is undecided with incentives to join the PlayerHub Network. Building one small community will likely be may best bet.
Though plans remain to add music, programing, producing, podcasts, artists, and more to the mix with countless subgenres. These features will be possible on a dedicated server. But imperative for this social multisite network project.
How is it unique?
I wanted to give PlayerHub its own feel. Now using a mixer of services, they come as a cookie cutter. I wanted to keep the basic feel of Youzify yet bring something to the table. It was a small contribution but simply changing basic terms for fresh new ideas seemed doable. For example, users have a profile with photo and cover photo. But on PlayerHub it is called a Cave. Network Features
Using the above plugins, I was able to piece together multisite hosting subscription-based website for Twitch and YouTube content creators. Websites or Pro Sites at PlayerHub.net are subdirectories to the main network. Meaning an existing member can purchase a WordPress website through PlayerHub Network stocked with premium/pro theme and plugins. Each subdirectory website is a completely different website from the main network but connected through user Caves, Network Feed, and memberships. Pro Site subscribers can have posts from their site automatically post a link to in the users Cave and Network Feed. Other users can follow sites as well to not miss an update.

Goals
In the near future I will be adding a point system along with badges and achievements on the website. Free courses and many more super-secret ideas I want to bring to this project. Down the road I want to provide free websites to members with upgradable options as needed with a larger variety of website options to fit the need of any content creator. I guess you could say, for end game I want to turn the Multisite Network to a Multinetwork site.
I cannot offer any paying positions for this social multisite network project, but if you think this project may be something you’d like to give input with I am open to suggestions and help. WordPress multisite and PHP coding experience needed. Contact
